Golden Blogbreros

June 17, 2010 - This was our first game against the Sombreros of the season. This was a nail bitter from start to finish. We battled back and forth every inning. We got a hold of the lead by 3 runs going in the bottom of the last, and we had to go to our bread and butter to win the game, DEFENSE. We squeaked out a 10-9 win. This seemed like a coming out party for Aflie, who batted 1.0 and drove in 3 ribs.

I am almost caught up.....more to recaps to come. pictures and videos will be coming too!! but i might have to blur some ugly faces.

Birman and blogs

June 10, 2010 - after our one hour break.....we played Ari and Friends. Tough Game...cause we couldn't mustard any offence. We hit a paltry .382 as a team with FOUR justice players hitting .000’s (not Des though). This must be a record low for us, and scoring a total of 8 runs. A far cry from the 18 run average we set for ourselves. A bright spot was Ryan who hit perfect. We did mount a comeback in the last inning to make the score respectable, but in reality...it was terrible. This is a game I have already forgotten.
Result 14-8 lost for Justice

Hit Blog-xs

Yet another Asian teams showdown on June 10 , with another interesting twist. A former Justice player was now on the opposing team. The Hit Stix is a new team to the league, and we wanted to make quick work of them. We took advantage of pitcher Jack Swagger. The top half of our lineup (minus Des) were able to sustain an offensive rhythm and score 3-5 runs each inning. Our top 5 hitters (minus Des) hit an average of .783 , 15 hits, 9 rbi’s, and 2 HR!!! Not too shabby....i guess this is why they are on top (minus Des).

Not much to I can remember about this game...maybe it’s just cause I didn’t play enough memory board games as a child and I now suffer from partial amnesia. I sometimes forget that Enoch is in his 20’s, but that might not be a memory problem. I am sure there were a couple of double plays and a drop ball in the outfield (probably not Des though).

Result: 20-7 for Justice ....good thing there was no panda’s that showed up to the game.

DraBLOGings.......

It’s time to test my long term memory....one our goals is to reign supreme over the Asian teams (Yes it was a goal). And our first opportunity came June 3, 2010 against the Dragons. An interesting match up as some of there players we compete regularly against in SNSP. This game was played a delayed double header at Milliken, meaning we had a one hour break between our first game. These breaks are killer for the body. You are all warmed up and playing game one and then stone cold after an hour.

Game started off slow as usual for us. We couldn’t get the bats going and sustain a rally. But our defense kept us in the game and we were able to drop 2 to 4 runs each inning.

Start of 7th inning:

The Co-ed King: Should we take it easy on them now?

Me: No. We’re sandbaggers.

The top of 7 rolls around the best offensive breakthrough was made. For the first time this year were batted around the lineup and drop 12 runs, blowing the game wide open.
Result : 27-4 for Justice

highlights:
Shummalumm hitting perfect with 4 ribbies.
.600 team avg..hopefully that will continue to rise.

How’s my memory...things are kind of vague, but I will have pictures that are stuck in the camera that will be uploaded. Maybe I should start making up plays and convince myself that it happened, but some of it may be inconceivable. For instance: I vaguely recall a at bat by Hank who crushed an opposite field home run OVER the construction fence at Milliken.
